BioHaven® floatinting islands are made out of a matrix that is lightweight and durable. The matrix is  made out of Polyethylene Terephthalate or PET (Plastic drinking bottles) and coated with a polyurea for ultra violet protection. The PET is inert and will not biologically degrade and won’t leach. The polyurea will not hydrolyze, leach, or contaminate the water.  It contains no Volatile Organic Compounds and is direct food contact approved. The matrix has been tested and found to be not toxic or harmful to aquatic life.
